New to RE Investing and looking for a mentor

Hey BP community, 

I’m looking for some help with my first real estate purchase. I am not sure what the process is exactly or how I should go about it. I will be getting deployed in January so I’ll probably wait till I get home to actually start the process but I would still like to know what I’m doing before I actually do it as well as any tips and tricks you guys might have for me.
