“Insulbrick” Anyone Have Problems Getting Insurance For Property

Hey all,

Looking to purchase a property locally with insulbrick siding on the outside. I have been told by a family member that insurance companies won’t insure a home with that siding. I suppose it’s a fire hazard?

Does anyone have experience getting insurance on a property that had insulbrick siding?

I could remove it after purchase and have vinyl or hardie siding installed, but I would like to be insured from date of purchase.

Thanks
