My Introduction (Hi, all..)

I've been "stalking" the forums for a bit now (thanks for all the great advice) and figured I should probably introduce myself. I'm located in Colorado Springs- a place I love and hope to never have to leave- where I'm a GC (feel free to reach out for referrals in the trades). Unfortunately, this market is still pretty high, and it doesn't make sense to me to invest here, at least with a BRRRR strategy.

So, I decided Jacksonville would be an ideal market. Obviously, rates are skyrocketing, but I still see great long-term potential. Not to mention, I have friends and family in the area and have spent time there. My plan is to pick up a BRRRR-able (is that a word?) property in the next 30-60 days and hit the ground running from there.

If there are any virtual investor groups going on, I'd love to take part.  And who knows, maybe I'll see some of you folks at open houses or the like.

Cheers,

Sean

Welcome to the BiggerPockets forums!

I bought my first home in Colorado Springs when stationed at Carson. I bought it for $85,000 in 1998 and it's now worth $350,000. I used to love that city, but it was getting too busy even back then.

Go to NETWORK at the top of your screen and you can search for other investors and investment groups. You can also check meetup.com or search facebook for real estate investment groups, clubs, or meetings in your area. It's unlikely you'll find a virtual group, but it's worth a shot. You should at least be able to find other investors in that area you can connect with here on BP.
