LLC for AirBNB in another state

Hello!

I recently bought my first investment property in Western NC this year. I want to AirBnB the property before the end of the year, if possible.

I've furnished the house, lined up lawn care and a potential housekeeper. My question is:

1. How do I proceed with setting up an LLC? I would need to apply to register in NC and not the state I live in (which is SC), correct?

2. Do I need to adjust my homeowner's insurance policy?

3. Anything else I should plan on doing?

I've previously worked in property management so I'm more familiar with longer-term rentals, but I really would like to start my own short-term rental this year to gain more experience. Thanks so much for your help!

Kind Regards,

Holly
