Investing Off Disability
I'm legally disabled and don't feel that my $860 a month is going to provide my son with a leg up on his future. I'm very limited as to how much capital I can have, but I want to eventually find a way to use rentals to scale my income and get off of disability entirely. What would you suggest? I'm able to provide a down payment on a duplex with my backpay but I don't think I'll get approved for a loan with $860 a monyh income. Are there any business deals someone in my position can work out?

I would start to call lenders, do not give them your social or anything that they could run your credit on until you are ready but it would be a good way to know what they have. I know here in Ohio we have a government loan that helps people that are under a certain pay scale buy a property. I would call around and see what options are out there. The more you call the more options will come your way.
