Where is the best location in the U.S. to buy cash flowing properties?

I work for a fortune 500 co. and can transfer virtually anywhere in the country. I am looking at starting my real estate portfolio this year, and since I have nothing holding me down to Houston (my current location), I can go anywhere. I understand that their are deals to be had anywhere. But all things being equal, if you could move anywhere and your only criteria was to be in the most profitable real estate mkt in America, where would you move? For all I know the answer could be Houston.
