My Goals For Starting Out!

Happy Monday to everyone!
Upon what I’ve learned real estate is one of if not the most beneficial industry to create the life and freedom that you desire so you can enjoy time with family, friends and the things that matter most as well as other hobbies and passions!

Firstly, some of my goals to starting out in real estate investing is to find a mentor first and foremost who I can learn and provide value for! Whether that is cleaning units after tenants move out, assisting with rehabbing, managing the property/tenants, etc. Overall I want to give as much value as I can while also taking in information from my mentors experience in the field!

Secondly, I am looking to connect with a tax advisor/CPA who I can learn the ropes of the tax laws to gain the whereabouts of what to do & what not to do in real estate (Because let’s be honest, taxes advantages are a huge plus in real estate)!

Lastly, I am very motivated to work with and connect with a ambitious real estate agent who has pristine experience/knowledge of deals that are on the market. Finding consistent great real estate deals I have learned are one of the toughest battles in real estate and so finding a driven real estate agent is high on my radar!

These are just starting goals that I have while I work on my processes/automated strategies to run deals quickly & efficiently.

At this point being 23 in the space I am just a sponge with a big plan for his future family & future freedom built with like-minded individuals!

I thank you for reading through!

Hey @Tristan Osborne,

Welcome to BP! You'll find a multitude of resources here not limited to those you mentioned in your list here. Some additional helpful tips include reading up on as many RE topics and strategies possible so you have a well rounded knowledge of how things work, lingo, and best practices when looking for your core 4 (deal finder aka agent, lender, prop manager, and contractor). @David Greene has a number of books I recommend. Look for meetups that fit your schedule also. My team hosts them, but you'll find a number posted here on BP as well as other online forums like meetup dot com. I can feel your enthusiasm and wish you luck. Let me know if you have any further questions! Hope this helps!
