Getting Started With First Rental Property

Looking to get started here in Michigan.  Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps books or other forums that have helped you in the past.

Been researching multi unit properties and RV lots.  Would like to get multiple properties off the ground and running opposed to just one.

Detroit has a ton of multi family units available  but significant rehab is often needed. For someone starting out, would you recommend project properties or something more turn key ready ?

I have connections to get a lot of basic work done . But bigger issues would most likely need a contractor. Thanks for any help provided.

Michael
