Currently in Graduate School but looking to start investing in RE
Hi all!
I am new to the community, and found out about it through one of the books promoted by BiggerPockets. I am a newbie when it comes to investing, but I am looking into being able to get started ASAP. I am about to start my Master’s in Structural Engineering, but will be working part-time jobs to make ends meet here in California (it’s pretty rough out here) while in school. However, I was wondering if anyone could please share some advice on how could I get started in investing in Real Estate. Even though I have a few niches in my mind, I am unsure (and slightly fearful, but hopeful) about them, but I really like the idea of short-term rentals and flipping homes. My preference would be to invest in Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, and Houston. However, I am open to investing in other states if the opportunity arises :)
Thanks in advance!
