How/what to buy as first property
Hello!
I'm a new investor and I live in Toronto, Canada where prices for real estate are crazy high. I am certain that I don't want to leave the city for now for various reasons including jobs for myself and husband, lifestyle, etc. I am certain that I want to buy a property as a rental/investment property but not sure how to proceed. We don't have a lot of capital for a down payment (only 27K) and our pre-approval is only 450K which means we have to look outside of Toronto, which we are totally fine with. My mother has about 500K in equity in her home and I'm wondering if it would be a cogent idea to borrow from her equity to help us with a downpayment to purchase our first income property?
