Investing while expecting a baby

Hi All,

I am a new investor and looking to acquire my first multi-family soon. However, my wife and I are expecting our first baby this summer. Naturally, this makes me hesitate as I want to prioritize my family and make sure my time spent with real estate does not get in the way of being with my family in this new stage of life.

Has anyone made their first investment while also taking on the adventure of being a new parent? Curious to hear your thoughts on if I'm in over my head, should focus on being a dad for now, or if starting my real estate journey is feasible while taking care of my newborn as well.

Thanks in advance!

Mason

Congratulations! I'm in the same boat.

My wife and I are also expecting our first child by January. We've been saving for our first rental unit for the past year and planned on buying by year-end. I'm also hesitant and considering whether to buy sooner or keep saving for another year.

Very interested in hearing other's responses.

Thanks for sharing.

Ryan
