Looking to buy a rental property but don't know how

Hello everyone! I just created my new account here and I came to know about this site while I'm reading The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner.

We have a rental property that we own and live as a primary residence in CO currently and we're about to move to WA later this year due to work. We want to rent this current property and buy another condominium in WA near and around Tacoma so that later years we can again rent this property too. We're not sure where and how to start. Please shower me with every useful information for us to make this move reliable. Thanks in advance!

oh! And we are going to be using our VA loan benefit to buy next condo.
