New to realestate investing

James Dickerson
Posted

I am currently in Midland MI and looking to start investing have made a few contacts in the area. I'm new to the area and don't know what areas are good and where to steer clear of I have a number of years in retail sales but this is my first venture into realestate. I have been soaking up all the info I can but am running into a bit of analysis paralysis.

Hey @James Dickerson, welcome to BP! I'm also just getting started, so I can't provide any local input, but I did find this thread from a while back that might help: Any Saginaw, Midland, Bay City Investors out there? (biggerpockets.com)

I think what's helped me get passed analysis paralysis is just talking with other investors, working with my realtor to visit properties, and remembering that we can't know everything, and mistakes are OK and will happen. Doing stuff that's not computer based has been great for me. Good luck!
