Mortgage for UK Expat for Buy to Let in Northern Ireland

Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience with buy to let mortgages for UK expats for properties in Northern Ireland. My family and I are UK citizens but live in the US and want to buy a property or two in Northern Ireland which is where my wife is from. Does anybody have any advice on obtaining financing? We could cash buy but we want to obtain the benefits that come with having a mortgage. All my research thus far has proven fruitless - seems as though most lenders to expats will only lend on properties in mainland UK.
