New Real Estate Investor in Minneapolis, MN

Hi everyone!

My name is James McLachlan and I am a finance student at the University of Minnesota who is looking to get started in real estate investing. As a college student, I don't have a lot of money to put into down payments and renovation costs. Because of this, I am mostly looking to get into multi-family rental properties within the Twin Cities area through house-hacking, partnerships, and private money.

If you have any advice on getting started with real estate investing, I would love to hear it! If you have any experience with the methods listed above, please share your story. As someone who is new to the industry, any and all advice is much appreciated.

Even if you don't want to share, I would still love to connect with you. I may be new, but I know how valuable connections in this industry are.

Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to becoming a part of this community!
