Updated about 11 years ago,
real estate license, now that im an investor/realtor
hi all
Thanks for the support you have given me.
I now have a license since march. And working with a real.estate company
Here is my 2 cents.
Remember I have been in real estate for 12 yrs. Self learning.
Flip, new, buy/hold, residential and commercial.
1. I'm not sure if my license has improved my REI but:
*found my own deal, direct assess to mkt
*saved only my cut in commission and did all the work ;)
*met exponentially new contacts (good/bad)
The bad:
* need to be realtor (distract from my original goal as investor (good/bad)
* disclosure and regulations (good/bad)
2. Education or realtor: Zero help as investor.
They teach you to sell homes.... that's it...
Realtor are not investors... in general.
The education that is useful is the process and real estate laws we need to learn.
No regrets. Best move ever....
But that said being an investor does give me an edge with investor clients.
Heck I did it bc I couldnt find a realtor that thought like me.
