Just Getting Started

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself real quick. My name is Josh. I am 29 and from the Ogden, Utah area.

I'm just beginning my journey as a real estate investor. I started learning about investing in real estate this year through the Bigger Pockets Podcast, reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad," "How to Invest in Real Estate: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Getting Started," and "Tax Free Wealth." I plan on continuing to learn as much as I can through books, people and experiences. I have started working on putting together a team to help me in the different areas of investing. I'm currently looking for a mentor to help guide me. I've joined some Facebook groups and have been looking for some local meet-ups to assist in networking and finding those mentors that can help me grow. There are a few different investing strategies that interest me. I'd like to brrrr, buy and hold, and/or pick up short term rentals. I'm looking for good opportunities everyday and hope to find one soon that will help me make my first jump. I plan to use a HELOC to help me get started with my first investment. Eventually, I think I'd like to move towards multi-family, apartment complexes and commercial.

Anyway, that is a little bit about me, where I'm at in my journey, and where I'd like to be in the future. I'd love to hear any advice that you may have for me as I start out and would love to learn more about your experiences.
