Getting Started In Rentals
I'm new here and honestly new to real estate in general but I want to get started. My dad has a house that has 60% equity that I'm currently living in and pay zero rent (I am fixing it up for him at my cost) I talked with him and he's willing to invest with me using his equity. My personal credit is so so right now just a little too much credit card debt from covid and my wife being laid off. We are back on the up and up with some savings now and I want to get into rentals now instead of waiting. I'm wanting to find a multi family property like a four unit or something of that nature. I know that moving up into the five family or more is considered commercial so I'm not sure we are ready for that. I created an LLC for this which might not be someones first move but I thought it was important to keep myself separate as much as possible from the rentals. That being said I was wondering what are some tips for getting started that anyone might have? Also, is it possible for my company to take control of my dads house and rent it out to say me to show income for the business? Thanks in advance..
