Wanting to start, hopping this plan will work
Hi BP family. I’m here searching for advice on future decisions I will be making. For the past 3 weeks I’ve been listening to the podcast and like most I’m very motivated to use real estate as a vehicle to financial freedom.
6 months ago I quit my job where I was at for 10 years. I was on salary, they had me working 10 hours a day 6 days a week. One day I realized that my kids are growing up and I don’t get to spend time with my family. So I took a job with a huge pay cut 5 minutes from my home and with weekends off. But now that I’ve had a bit more time to think im searching for ways to create extra income or to potentially replace my dead end job.
My wife and I purchased our home 3 years ago and did some updates with a trusted GC. Was thinking of selling our home in a few months. We will rent a home for a year or so and use the capital from the sale to start flipping. Since I only have 6 months at a new job and now making a lot less I would not qualify to Refiance or any other loans. Not sure if this is the right approach but I’m fired up to do something different.
