Brand New to Real Estate Investing

Hello BiggerPockets Community!

My name is Sean and I am absolutely fascinated by this world and interesting in starting out. I am new to RE Investing and so far I have been reading books, listening to the podcast, and watching videos on this site. 

Some information about me. I have been around this world most of my life as my mother has been a landlord for over 30 years of a few properties here and there. She hasn't had to work a regular job since 2001, since she lives off of her rental income. I would love to learn all about that because I want to transition from a regular job to real estate investing. I am looking for a community in my town to visit, learn from, and bring my expertise as well. I live in the Los Angeles area. If you know a group, whether it's in person or on Zoom for the time being, I would love to join and learn. Anyway, thank you for the wide array of knowledge on this website.
