Is now the right time to get into the “flipping” business?

Hey y’all,

I’m in a somewhat unusual situation and I need some advice.

A group of friends (myself included) recently came into some significant money, and we’re kind of at a loss about what to do with it. The cash came as a surprise to us, but one we were more than happy to accept (we developed software for a major client from the iGaming market, but other than their name (https://www.casinoshortlist.org/) I don’t really feel comfortable sharing any other details).

Anyway, rather than spend everything right away, we’ve been thinking about what the safest investment would be. We don’t really care much for multiplying the cash, we just want to make sure we don’t lose it overnight. One of us suggested house flipping as a relatively safe way to make things happen, but we’re not very familiar with how it all works.

I would love to get some advice on what the current situation is and whether this would be the right time to get into it all. Any tips and knowledge on the topic would be much appreciated!
