Finding a Local Mentor

Newbie in Vermont seeking a local mentor. I searched Bigger Pockets and online for investment clubs. The only one (Champlain Valley REIA) doesn't seem to be very active. They don't have a website and their Facebook page looks slim. Any suggestions?

I maybe would not start by looking for a mentor. I would start with connecting with people on Biggerpockets who are from vermont and introduce yourselves to them. See if you can meet some property managers and investment minded agents from your area and see if they know investors who are doing stuff the right way and would introduce you. Biggest thing is most highly successful individuals will be turned off by you asking to mentor them because their time is so valuable. See if you can meet them maybe bring them a deal or find another pain point to solve and it will naturally grow into the relationship you are seeking.
