Hi all! I’ve been working in heavy civil and Marine construction my whole career, 16 years mostly as a superintendent and project manager, and did residential framing with my dad growing up, and recently bought my first home and did some rehab to that including managing some residential subs, My parents were framing subcontractors but held their gc license. I’m looking at running my own rehabs and adu build and potentially helping others with their rehab deals as well. My ideal situation would be to fill the niche of an investor/contractor and investor friendly contractor. Im sure I’ll have a huge learning curve moving into residential markets, but I feel like I’ll have some advantage in my background so far. Any tips on getting started, best way to approach getting my gc license or know someone to point me to that’s be willing to help a try hard newbie? Thank you!
