Tactics for getting into RE with $20,000

Ralphie Martinez
Posted

Hello everyone,

First post here. I live in the Bay Area CA and although I'm not looking to do any investing in this area real estate wise I was wondering if anyone had input or what they would do with $20k.

I have savings and other bills paid off (we live with our mortgage as our only debt currently) and have this "extra" money sitting in the bank and not doing me any good collecting the .001% interest on it. Anyone want to give their advice as to what they'd do with that money, where would you deploy it?

stocks, bonds, real estate (out of state, not in CA).

I'm excited to see what some of you have to say and what I might be able to learn from your comments and answers. Appreciate this community and everyone involved in it.
