I am new to real estate. I have wanted for a while to buy apartment buildings and rent them out. I just need some tips to start out, still have to build up credit I am only 18 but definitely something I plan on doing in my lifetime.

Hey Sean, it's great that you already know you are interested in real estate! I didn't get interested until I was 28 and I now have two rental properties with hopefully many more to come. I may even scale into apartments one day, we shall see.

Here's my advice:

Soak up as much knowledge as possible right now. Listen to the podcasts, read the BiggerPockets's books and the other book recommendations from the podcast guests, go to meet-ups once the world goes back to normal and network.

Get your finances in order. Read "Set for Life" or listen to the BiggerPockets Money Podcast. Save way more than you spend. Consider house hacking once you are ready to get a place of your own.

Go work for an apartment complex or an investor who invests in apartments and needs help in some way (hint: you find these at meetups and through networking). Pick up as much knowledge as you can from this work experience.

These are just my two cents, but hopefully you can pull something from it. Good luck!
