Set up a property management company

I retire from the Army in four years and told my wife I wanted to do real estate full-time. Many of you can guess how she responded to this. [b]#!?%

She insisted I still should find a JOB. I was thinking about this and really don't another JOB. I plan to pull all of my rentals and manage them myself and will start slowly since they're in different parts of the country. I'll most likely take one property at a time. What would I need to do to get a PM company started?
