Business Formation - “Companies” vs “& Co.”

My apology in advance if this is a silly question but I could not find the answer anywhere so I’m hoping for some insight from my fellow BP members:

Is there a difference between the wording “Companies” and “& Company”?

It’s just the name. Same as using INC. vs incorporated vs corporation 

The name is irrelevant but there is a difference between S and C corporations and LLC
