I have a 2 family I want financial freedom

I've had my multi for 2 years built some equity. I want more I want financial freedom. I'm a union carpenter and I make good money but construction is the biggest rat race and I don't want to worry about being laid off or even busting my *** for my whole life. What steps do i need to make in order to move forward ? What is the easiest way to get another one ? I need guidance
