What books are you reading to IMPROVE?!
Hey Everyone,
I am an avid reader whom enjoys books that help me to grow and develop myself in a variety of ways! I'm curious to see what everyone is reading, and what impact it's making on your life?
Whether that's in your business, relationship, personal growth, skill development, career, real estate, or your quality of living! Books make a profound impact one everyone's life, and those who choose to read and develop themselves keep ahead of the curve in life, from what I've seen.
Currently, I just finished off with Hardwiring Excellence by Quint Studer! Quint is a leader in the field of healthcare in the United States, through the book he dives deep into how to increase patient satisfaction by getting to the main cause of the problem. He speaks about how to retain employees, help employees and leaders within your organization be successful and pull you to success, rewarding and recognizing behavior that aligns with your value and goals, goal setting, and much more! The book is a fairly easy read, and although directly for those in the healthcare field, the skills, practices, and goals can be transferred into almost any company or business. His main focus is on creating a workplace that has a commitment to: Purpose, Worthwhile Work, and Difference Making. This is done via the Healthcare Flywheel, this is initially turned by passion which results in principles being developed, and finally results, which fuels more passion, and so on; success creates success. The stories and real experiences from using these techniques and skills are very interesting, and this book is filled with them. Of course the book has its downside, its a bit of information overload. In order to extract everything from this book, you need to take notes, there are so many different strategies, and bits of connected information its hard to consume it all at once. Some may see it differently, but the lack of pin point focus creates an environment to forget important facts and strategies. Overall an absolutely amazing book, and information packed! (4.5 out of 5)
Those who are interested in either the healthcare field, leadership, business development, personal development will treasure this work of art, or at the very least take a few notes they can use to succeed!!
