How did you pick your LLC name? My wife and I have a quite unique last name - is it safe to disclose your last name in an LLC? Any advice would help.

Depends on what the use of the LLC is and how many you plan on running as a future goal. If you only want to establish a couple LLCs, then people will often come up with creative and fun names - or boring ones, depending on the person. It's good practice not to tie it to your name due to how easy it can be to find you and tie you to the LLC for any random person.

If you operation grows and you start juggling LLCs, or a Series LLC, along with trusts and bank accounts than it is very important to set up a consistent criteria for naming LLCs. The will often end up using the address of the property to ensure they can keep things straight while also protecting their personal name in the process.

.......................................................................... Series LLC ................................................................................................

............................................................... Agent Trust (anonymity) ...................................................................................

Child Series A ............................................. Child Series B ................................................... Child Series C .................. (etc)

123 Main Street Trust ........................... 456 Main Street Trust ................................. 789 Main Street Trust ............ (etc)

Property: 123 Main Street ................ Property: 456 Main Street .......................... Property: 789 Main Street.......... (etc)

Just a couple thoughts! Best of luck to you moving forward and let me know if you have any other questions.
