Anyone interested in forming a Performance Group?

Why performance group: I get many great ideas from Bigger Pockets, AZREIA and other sources. But sometimes the biggest problem is letting the urgent but unimportant tasks fill available time. At the end of day, week, month I answer to myself and sometimes...ok most of the times I give myself a free pass even though I know I
should be doing more.

What is a performance group: a group of investors who communicate regularly to share operational and planning ideas, and to act as a “board of advisors” for each of its members.

How it works: Gather 5 or 6 investors who are dedicated to building their business. These investors then share information and talk on a regular basis. Every 4 weeks the facilitator (this position rotates among the group) sends email asking for goals to be submitted by a certain date. Once you post your goals on a google group page every member receives them. We read the goals and share ideas back and forth. The facilitator also works with everyone to set a date and time for a quarterly conference call. During the conference call each member has 15 minutes to go over their goals and report to the group their successes, challenges and ask for suggestions. The facilitator keeps track of time for each member and also wraps up the call by assigning a new facilitator for the next meeting.

The goals consist of:
- 30 day goals
- 60 day goals
- 90 day goals
- 3 top issues/problems of the month

some of information we might share:
- Our marketing strategies
- short term goals and long term goals
- Continuing education strategies (relating to REI)
- Financial goals
- Family and Leisure time goals

With this type of information you can brainstorm ideas, achieve goals and grow our businesses. We would converse via email on a regular basis and a conference call each quarter. This means we hold each other accountable for achieving our goals.

Since we would share somewhat confidential information it's important that the group be dedicated to helping each other and open to listening to new ideas.
