seminar length? What's right?

I would like some input on what the right length of an initial real estate training seminar is. Is it 2hrs - 2 days or somewhere in between? Is it better to do a 2 hr free event and then a longer paid event or should there just be one? Also do you make the people register to attend, or do you just advertise and market the seminar and see who shows up? I look forward to your input.
