Alternative to LLC in California

Hi all,

I'd love to hear what other entities California based investors have used when buying rental properties. The $800 LLC fee in California is a pretty hefty one and wanted to see if anyone has other suggestions. Wanting to find out what my other options are and what others experiences are!
