Dual LLC Question - is it unnecessary

Looking forward to some great info here.

My question, what are your thoughts on DUAL LLC's

Is this just tooooo much?

One company as a holding / management company of our portfolio

Another company as a home buyer company. This is the face of the company.

So we market, mail, etc under our Home Buyer company and then when a property is aquired and fits our guidelines as a buy and hold it is moved into our holding company as part of the portfolio and management company.

Thoughts?
