Pros and Cons of a General Partnership

Hello. I am finding so much conflicting information online regarding which entity to use for wholesaling real estate. I was going to get an llc, but my cap suggested a GP with my wife. He claims there will be less taxes to pay and less filing costs upfront and yearly with tax returns. He told me to simply purchase a liability policy for protection purposes so i would be protected as I would with an llc. Please give me your opinions! Thanks!
