Partner questions

I am looking for more information about doing business with partners.  Is it best to set up a separate llc for each of us and have the llc's go into a deal together or do we set up an llc with both our names on it? I would say that the partnership is not going to be a forever thing but maybe a few flips together.  Really it could last longer her if things go well.  Thanks for your ideas in advance.
