LLC scam irs.com aka simplefilings.com

Hey everyone.

I just wanted to warn everyone about this fraud that happened to me. I bought a rental property and I was filing for an LLC and while I was getting my EIN number I went to irs.com instead of .gov. Totally a dumb rookie mistake and I take full responsibility but I came here to try to help someone not do what I did in the future. The site puts .gov-tax to trick you into thinking in a government site. So I filed through irs.com and it redirected me to simplefilings.gov-tax.com (I was at work and was trying to do this quickly) so when I saw the .gov I pursued and what they do is assign a 3rd party designee to file you EIN forms and they charge you $177 for something you could do in 5minutes yourself for FREE. I'm very frustrated and feel like garbage, getting scammed sucks. I hope this helps someone because I never write these things but I don't want this to happen to anyone else
