Doing deals in two states - is one better than another to form the LLC in?
For over a decade I have focused my real estate investing in Oregon but have some opportunities to operate in Washington. For various reasons I need to start a new LLC and I am wondering if it is better to form an Oregon LLC or Washington LLC to buy and sell homes in both states and to act as a holding company for long term hold LLC companies?
Or have an Oregon LLC for Oregon deals and a Washington LLC for Washington transactions? It seems easier to have one LLC to handle both states.
Thanks for the input!
