Raising Private Capital in Toronto

Hi All,

I am a GP/Sponsor that has just formed an LP based in Toronto ON, looking to raise $15M of equity to acquire Industrial and MURBs across Canada and the US with a target AUM of $50MM. 

Looking to connect with others who either have had similar experiences raising funds in the middle-market space. Did you use a placement agent? Did you solicit from family offices and then processed the raise through an EMD?

I have 9 years of CRE experience, spanning lending, asset management, and construction management. Unfortunately, my broad experience doesn't cover capital raises in the exempt market.
