Real Estate Stats For Business Plan

I am composing a business plan and want to add some statistics on number of houses sold, sales prices, etc... Does anyone know where I could gather that info? The obvoius place is the MLS but I do not have access and since I was a Realtor for 5 years in another state I know how frustrating it is when people call you asking to help them do things and they have not done anything for you. I'm sure there are some websites out there, just not sure which ones. Thanks
