Correct Entity structure for Canadian investing in USA

Harit Pat
Posted

I'm interested in establishing an entity for real estate investment as a Canadian investing in the USA. My primary goal is to avoid double taxation and ensure the best asset protection. After following several forums, I've learned that the recommended approach is to set up the entity as follows: C-Corp -> Family Limited Partnership -> LLC. I'm seeking an asset protection attorney who can assist me in setting up the entity correctly to facilitate scaling the business across multiple states. I'm eager to hear recommendations from the BP community.

Thank you.
