Portfolio Restructure for Daily Management and Legacy Architecture

Here's the backdrop....For the past 20yrs I've ran a residential design/build company. 10yrs ago I was able to get into REI and now have 6 properties total (2 personally (1-ABNB / 1-SFH LTR)/ 4 (LTRs) in a LLC with a partner), and manage 2 additional properties as the property manager. 2yrs ago I decided to drop the building side of design/build, and now I just do architectural design and REI.

All of that to say…..Along the way I didn't really pay attention to, or really understand the importance of proper portfolio architecture. Now that I have the time, I'd like to organize my portfolio to maximize legal protection, minimize taxes, position for growth, and not leave a headache for my family.

At this point, I'm simply trying to clarify and prioritize a plan of action to get the legal, accounting, and tax planning aspects up to snuff. More sspecifically, what order would you engage with each profession, and are there any specific questions/considerations that I should be asking, or paying attention to along the way?

Once I get this sorted out, I'd like to position myself to pull money from one or both of my personally held properties to make my next move, into a 12-50 unit multi-family, high end STR, or to fund my next BRRRR). So, I don't want to close that door, or increase the cost of that money unnecessarily in this process.

Thoughts / Comments / Good Advice is much appreciated!!
