Selling your membership interest in your LLC

I have a property under contract through a new LLC I just created (123 Main LLC). I want to sell my membership interest in this LLC to a cash buyer for $10,000. The buyer has agreed to the terms and conditions but his attorney has never done a deal this way and thinks something is wrong with this transaction. I have done this numerous times with title companies but some of these real estate attorney's in Northern New Jersey don't understand creative real estate investing. If his attorney does not do the deal this way I will go to my plan B buyer who I have closed with numerous times on several occasions. Has anyone ever ran into this situation?
