Business Planning and LLCs in Canada

Hi Everyone! I am an electrician living in Atlantic Canada just beginning my REI career. I currently rent out a duplex and single family home. As I look to expand I'm trying to gather more information/advice on how I should structure LLCs or whether it is necessary at this stage in my career. A CPA I spoke with recommended I keep rentals in my own name instead of a holdings company to save tax dollars. I understand this but would like to create a clear separation between myself and my rental business. Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated!
