A question on properties per LLC

As a SFR investor only right now, I'm curious as to how many properties you think are acceptable per LLC. Again, I'm asking strictly about SFR's. I understand multi-family and commercial should be their own LLC whenever possible, but it's just not feasible to have an LLC per SFR. Not only are the LLC fees each year several hundred dollars, there is also the overhead per LLC (taxes, bank accounts, no co-mingling of funds, etc). How do you base your decision? A certain Cash Flow?, number of properties? etc.
