Owning equity in LLC with another LLC

Dario Mormina
Posted

Hello, so I have all my real estate holdings in one LLC (I will call my personal LLC) where I am the sole member. I am investing with a partner 50/50 on a property, so we created a new LLC in which we have 50/50 ownership of. We will put title in the new LLC's name.

The question is, in the operating agreement, should I declare that my personal LLC has a 50% holding in the new LLC, or that I personally have a 50% holding?

I am financing the payment for the new property with my partner using funds from my personal LLC, if that helps.

Thanks
