Is our plan ok. Any Ideas?

Posted

Hello BP,

My wife and I want to rent our SFH that we currently live in and hopefully cash flow a couple of hundred dollars a month. Simultaneously, we are going to purchase a duplex in my name(SFH is in her name) and Househack that to get the cheap FHA rates. Then move to subsequent Duplexes yearly for five years. During those years would like to use our W2 income to scale our investing. I think this is a valid plan, Do You see anything that I should be careful of or am missing?

We have a meeting with our CPA and will be setting up a meeting with our RE attorney to make sure this is structured correctly. Any advice would be great?  This was a TOUGH sell to my wife and I get it. So I'm hoping to preempt as many issues as I can now. Thanks, BP.
