Reverse 1031's

We recently did a reverse 1031 where I work. It was quite interesting as I am not familiar with this. The properties that my employer had up for sale had to sell and close within six months. We were very close to the deadline. As a result the properties sold for far less than we would have realized had we been able to make use of further marketing time. The buyer ended up getting a very good deal. I imagine from my employer's perspective he also got a good deal regardless from a tax perspective.
