What would happen with my deferred taxes if I sell just part of an exchanged property?
I did an exchange about a year ago into a property that is five buildings, all on separate tax parcels. If I were to sell just one of those buildings (sell outright, not exchange) what would be the tax ramifications? Would I pay a proportionate amount of the deferred tax? Would it all come due? Just curious and exploring options...
