I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E history and old homes with a story. Ever since I "restored" the marble doorknob on my bedroom door as a teenager, I have been dreaming of restoring a historic home. My aunt fanned the flame with annual visits to historic homes in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri.
